The Two-Headed Cat

Lumpy and Lola are two very different personalities but they go together like peas and carrots.

A Couchful of Cats

They are so glad we bought them a new futon. Add a wood stove nearby and there's standing-room only in the living room.

At The Door To Summer

Max, caught at a moment of decision, as he waits for me at the sauna.

Max not only knows the best sleeping spots in our yard, but also what time of day each has just the right amount of sunshine to make a perfect dozing spot.

Two Faces

The Precious has been with us about a year and a half now, and seems to be one of the dominant personalities in the household.

Jackie is a beautiful cat that doesn't get seen enough.  He and Snickers share the shop with Twitch, but don't come in the house.  They do have access to the hay-filled cat run on the west side of the house, where they enjoy basking in the afternoon sun.

The Sentinel

Max keeps tabs on whatever happens in our yard.  I always try to keep an eye on him (I know--not easy with that camoflage-coat of his) to alert me to the presence of wildlife when I am outside.

A sunny windowsill and a volcanic rock is all Twitch needs to be comfortable.

The vet's records show her as "Happy," but she has been "Lumpy" at home since her first weeks here.

She came from the shelter with a few embedded mats in her coat.  When we would pet the cats that joined us on the bed at night, the answer to, "Which  one is that?" became, "The lumpy one..."

She lost those lumps quickly, of course, but the name stuck.

And my heart-name for her is "Felicity," which is a Latinized version of her official name.
