Mimi

It has been four years since we found Mimi eating dry cat food on our porch in a cold December.

It doesn't seem like it has been that long--I still think of her as being one of the newer cats. She is slowly finding her place in the household and gaining some confidence. But cats have long memories and I doubt that she will ever forget being abandoned.

She is sweet, longingly gazing out of the window. My Lillipilli is like that. She's been here for five years now, purrs at the drop of a hat and is only now beginning to enjoy her comb through. She has a dense white undercoat and being very big and fat, it is the first time she looks really well groomed and her coat is shining. She still scurries away from MB most of the time and she won't come in to eat until any visitors have left but she is very affectionate with me.

I'm always so amazed at how long it takes some of my kitties to cuddle up and enjoy the peace and warmth of a good home. My Molly is over 7 years old and it's only been in the last year that she will spend any time on my lap. Guess they remember more than we know.
