Missing Frannie

I neglected to post after we let Frannie go on August 22nd. I am sorry to have left you hanging. It was just so damned, glacially inevitable. I guess we had a special bond because of her deafness. She was always observant of where we were and what we were doing. She had been through a series of different homes in her first year of life--I figured she didn't want to risk losing us in the confusing, silent world that she lived in.

She knew she was loved, though she never heard those words.

I held her in my arms--to the end and beyond--so she would know she wasn't alone.

It is so hard to let them go , but I feel its the last gift we can give them. I have lost all my old ones in the past 4 years ,they were all between 16 and 20 . My heart and prayers are with you.

It's sad to lose a loved one - even one with four paws and fur. Condolences.

Sweet girl, I'm so sorry!!!

My Casper is also deaf and although he has a happy life my one regret for him is that he cannot hear how much I love him.

Tears here. Thinking of your loss. Anna
Even tho deaf, she knew how much you loved her. My old guy Napoleon has gone deaf and blind and I reassure him every time I walk by him by talking softly, so he can smell me, then I love him. They know, and your precious Frannie knew.
((((Hugs))))
