Frannie Watching Snowmelt

Frannie spent several hours this morning watching water and small pieces off ice drip off the roof. She is more easily fascinated by visual phenomena than the other cats. The smallest movement can hold her attention for an hour or more.

Watching her, I grasp how isolated she is in her world of silence, alone even though surrounded by our bustling household.
