I sometimes wonder just what they do remember. (S)he looks quite peaceful in the photo....quite an appropriate title for your post.

It seems that those cats who had previous owners, those that have experienced abandonment, are more insecure than those of our cats who have no memory of any other home but this. The cats that were born here--or came so young that they think they were born here--never seem to doubt in Providence.
